Celena is a criminal defense attorney at MP2 Placidi & Parini, where she provides dedicated and strategic representation to individuals facing criminal charges. Since becoming licensed to practice law in 2019, she has focused her career on protecting the rights of the accused and ensuring that justice is pursued with integrity and diligence.
Celena earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2019. While in law school, she served as a student attorney with the Civil Rights Clinic and gained valuable experience as a certified legal intern with Neighborhood Legal Services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Mercyhurst University, with a concentration in law enforcement and a minor in the psychology of crime and justice.
Following graduation, Celena served as a judicial law clerk, where she gained firsthand insight into the judicial process. She then joined the Erie County Public Defender’s Office, representing clients in a wide range of criminal matters. In February 2024, she brought her courtroom experience and client-centered approach to MP2 Placidi & Parini.
Celena is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Known for her thorough preparation and commitment to doing what is right, Celena approaches each case with the goal of achieving a just outcome for her clients. She believes that every person deserves a strong advocate and a fair process.
Celena handles criminal cases at all stages, including appeals and post-conviction relief. In addition, she handles expungements, pardons, and name change petitions.
Outside of work, Celena enjoys attending live music events, gardening, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
